In March 2020 the global COVID-19 pandemic forced the closure of schools in Zambia and LICS quickly adapted and integrated to online home learning programmes. Following local authorities (MOGE and MOH) guidelines in August 2020 we welcomed back our exam year groups. In September 2020 we completed a phased back re-opening approach. The start of our second term in October 2020 saw our campus alive again with our learners smiling eyes, as face masks became the new normal and part of the LICS uniform.
The “New Normal” that we are all globally facing requires adapted procedures in our working environment. LICS as an educational institution is following all government guidelines and has put safety regulations in place to protect its students, parents/visitors and staff at the best possible level.
We are always monitoring and adapting our programmes in response to changes in the current circumstances, to ensure that we keep up to date with best practice and keep offering the best service to our LICS community.
For further information on our COVID-19 safety regulations please read our Back to School COVID-19 Handbook which also includes our standard operating procedures.
